Telegram boosts are units of channel support that affect its level and available features. Users assign boosts from their Premium accounts. Administrators can collect support through a dedicated link, obtain boosts through Premium gifts and giveaways, or order a separate service for a selected period.
Start with the feature you need, check its requirements in Telegram and calculate the missing boosts. Then choose quantity and duration, and verify a specific result after additions: active boosts, the level and access to the feature.
What do Telegram boosts give a channel?
Channel levels unlock publishing and appearance options. The official Telegram Premium FAQ describes stories, custom reactions and appearance settings. Different features have different level requirements.

Stories and custom reactions
Telegram's current FAQ lists one story per day and one custom reaction at level 1, and two of each at level 2. Access to a reaction and the number of reactions on a post are different metrics. Making an emoji available does not mean readers have used it.
For stories, check the allowance and the administrator who will publish. Telegram's channel-stories explanation specifies the necessary rights and Premium for the publishing administrator. The channel level does not grant those rights to everyone on the team.
Appearance and other features
Boosts can unlock colors, logos, emoji statuses and channel backgrounds. Telegram describes these in its channel-appearance announcement. Select a level around the particular element you intend to use.
Another feature is automatic channel-message translation. It can be enabled after the required level is reached and can serve readers without Premium. Check current Telegram settings: an old appearance table may omit features added later.
How many boosts does a channel level require?
Telegram relates the required boost quantity to the channel's total subscribers. There is therefore no single first-level quantity that applies to every channel.
Before calculating, choose the goal: stories, an appearance setting or another available feature. A level without a specific purpose makes quantity and duration harder to select.
Where to find the exact threshold
Open Channel Profile → Channel Settings → Statistics and Boosts → Boosts, the route described in Telegram's official FAQ. Labels and locations can differ between app versions.
Check the current level, active boosts and next-level requirement. If the goal is higher, inspect its conditions in the available level description. Save the check time because both audience size and active boosts can change.
How to calculate the missing quantity
Distinguish the total threshold from the remaining quantity. Telegram's boost-status documentation separately defines current boosts and the total required for the next level. If the app already shows how many remain, do not subtract the current counter again.
Hypothetical example, not a SMMESE customer result: a channel has 32 active boosts, and Telegram shows a total threshold of 50 for the next level. If that threshold stays unchanged:
50 − 32 = 18 additional boosts.
Here, 50 is the required total and 18 is the missing quantity.
Recalculate if active boosts change before delivery. With 35 active boosts and the same threshold of 50, only 15 remain. Yesterday's reading does not replace a current check.

How to get Telegram boosts
There are several ways to obtain support. The choice depends on whether your audience has available boosts, whether you want to give Premium subscriptions and whether you need a specified quantity for a fixed period.
Ask Premium subscribers for support
Copy the boost link from your channel's boost section and publish a clear request. Explain which feature you want to unlock and how much support is missing according to the current counter. A user with available boosts can assign them to the channel.
A hypothetical request could be:
We'd like to publish channel stories. Telegram shows that we need 18 more boosts for the next level. If you have an available boost and would like to support the channel, please use the link in this message.
The number 18 is an example; use a fresh reading in an actual announcement.
The Premium subscriber count does not show how many boosts were assigned to your channel. Users may support other channels and may face restrictions on transferring already assigned boosts.
Gift Premium or run a giveaway
Telegram supports additional boosts through Premium gifts and subscription giveaways. These are different actions: boosts obtained through personal gifts need to be assigned, while an official giveaway generates support under Telegram's own rules.
The official giveaway announcement explains that associated boosts remain with the channel for the duration of the gifted subscriptions and cannot be moved elsewhere. The organizer pays for subscriptions in advance, so this method has its own budget and conditions.
Choose a giveaway when giving subscriptions to the audience is part of the goal. If you only need a particular support quantity, compare methods by quantity, duration and total cost while preserving their differences.
Order boosts for a selected period
If you want to buy Telegram boosts for a defined period, check the separate service's terms: the destination channel, quantity and required active duration. Those parameters define the order result to verify.
The current SMMESE boost form asks for the channel link, quantity and period. Available durations are 1, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 and 180 days. Check the price after choosing the parameters; one fixed article price cannot describe every option.
An offer to increase Telegram boosts should still define the service result precisely. Check active boosts and their period, while tracking new subscribers, post views and reactions separately.
How to boost a Telegram channel
Boosting means assigning available support from your account. Telegram's boost documentation describes available boosts, selecting a channel and transfer restrictions after assignment.
- Open the official boost link copied by the administrator from the channel's boost section.
- Verify the name and available channel information.
- Check whether your account has available boosts and whether transferring an already assigned boost is restricted.
- Confirm assignment to the chosen channel in Telegram.
- Check the result in the boost window. The administrator checks active support and level in the channel section.
If support is assigned elsewhere, Telegram may display when it can be transferred. Follow that message. Opening the link without confirming does not prove a boost was added.
When several boosts are available, check the selected quantity. One supporting user does not always equal one boost; the assigned-support counter is what matters.
How long do boosts last, and why does the count change?
Duration belongs to the specific boost. Telegram's boost definition includes an expiration date. For manually assigned boosts, also consider transfer rules.
Boost duration versus order duration
An SMMESE order period describes the selected active duration of that package. It does not set a universal duration for boosts received from other users or sources.
Choose a period around the channel's task. A short event may need the feature during preparation and publication; regular use may need it throughout a longer plan. Before payment, check what the selected period means and when it begins.
Why a channel's level may fall
If active support declines, check expirations and transfers, then the current level threshold. Watch subscriber totals as well because Telegram's requirements relate to channel size.
Continue the hypothetical example with an unchanged threshold of 50. Adding 18 to the original 32 reaches 50. If four earlier boosts then expire:
50 − 4 = 46 active boosts, leaving four more needed for the threshold.
That overall decline does not itself prove the new package lost four boosts. Identifying the source requires the relevant boost records, times and durations. One total cannot separate additions, expirations and transfers.
Boosts, Premium subscribers or views: what should you choose?
Start with the metric you want to change. Channel level, audience membership and post readership need different evidence.

How to check that boosts were added
Verify the result in the channel that was meant to receive support. Inspect active boosts, level and access to the chosen feature inside Telegram. A calculator helps plan quantity; it does not confirm delivery.
Record the starting state
Save the channel link, measurement time, subscriber count, active boosts, level and current target threshold. For an order, also save quantity, duration and the conditions for when the period starts.
Note any simultaneous subscriber request, giveaway or other order so support from several sources is not attributed to one action.
Compare delivery and the selected period
After additions, repeat the Telegram check and compare it with the baseline. If 18 boosts were needed, check both the new counter and access to the target feature.
During the selected period, review the total alongside expiration information. For discrepancies, contact support with the channel, order number, measurement times and observed result. Interpret the total using all additions and departing boosts.

Can a channel get boosts for free?
An administrator can request support from users who already have Premium and available boosts. The channel does not need to purchase a separate service for that assignment. Premium gifts and giveaways require the organizer to pay for subscriptions.
Does one Premium account equal one boost?
Available support depends on how Premium was obtained and how boosts are assigned. One user can have several available boosts. A channel's Premium subscriber count does not replace its actual assigned-boost count.
Why did views not increase after boosts?
Boosts unlock channel features. Views concern reading specific posts, and use of a new format needs separate assessment. A reached level does not itself confirm more views.
Are boosts for channels and groups the same?
Telegram supports channel and supergroup boosts, but features and requirements differ. This article and the SMMESE calculator concern channels. Do not automatically apply a channel calculation to a group.
